Kids’ Resurrection Sunday
Easter was a blast at N4C this year! We’ve done Easter Egg Hunt in the past but this year was extra special. The Kids Ministry Team thoughtfully and prayerfully prepared for the big event. Kids activities included singing songs of praise, puppet show, crafts, games and lots of candies. Warm food was also served courtesy of Pastor Luz Castro. The highlight of the event was the egg hunt which was held out on the lawn of the church. The weather provided a bright and cool environment for the kids to fully enjoy the hunt. This year’s egg hunt was different in a sense that the eggs did not have candies rather objects releted to the story of Jesus’ resurrection. The kids responded favorably, engaging in locating numbered eggs with a purpose and a different surprise in each egg. Of course, what would fun be without candies and so at the end of all the activities, kids were given bags of candies to take home.

We count this year’s Easter activities a great success because we were able to deliver the true message of Easter in a way that kids enjoyed. From the meeting that the teachers had, we’ve set a goal to make Easter Sunday a special experience for the kids and one that will bring lasting impact (longer than the candies will) and we feel that we have accomplished exactly that. I am so excited that this activity has brought new kids in the church, most importantly to the kingdom of God. We plan to continue and improve what we have done this year and use it as an outreach program of N4C. We are set to serve bigger and better next year so see you on N4C Kids Easter Sunday 2010.
